Selena Gomez is secretly working on her own beauty brand, and the trademark gave it away. Women’s Wear Daily reports that according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Gomez, through her production company July Moon Productions, filed a trademark for “Selena Gomez” on July 11 for a number of beauty products. The products include “fragrances, perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, cosmetics, cosmetic preparations, body care preparations, skincare preparations, hair care preparations, soaps, moisturizers, incense, nail preparations, beauty products, and essential oils” among others. Imagine what they will be like…Gomez, of course, has not said a word about the line, and it’ll likely be some time (months or even more than a year) before any products are released. For example, rumors Rihanna applied for a trademark for her beauty line started over four years ago. She acknowledged the beauty line’s existence in 2015 (“That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do”). Fenty Beauty did not launch officially until September 2017.Gomez has been relatively quiet on social media this summer. Entertainment Tonight reports the fall will be much more busy for the singer, who’s gearing up to release new music. A source told the outlet last month that Selena “is really enjoying this time off before things ramp up again. Selena has been working on new music and plans to release some this year. The new music is going to be a different side of Selena and very personal. Selena has gone through a lot over the years and is ready to share it with the world.”
